October 2017 Acceptd Partner Update

Published October 6th, 2017

Dear Partners,

We play, create, and perform with heavy hearts after the tragedy this week in Las Vegas, but we will not stop playing, creating and performing. As the Acceptd team, our partners, and our network of artists try to make sense of this senseless act of violence, we circle back to the thing that gives us hope and courage: the Arts. We stand firm in our belief that Art can comfort and heal. In times like these where we feel shadowed by confusion and fear, we must continue to use Art as our invincible light. We implore you as part of this family to take agency in this mission to unite Artists in the spirit of courage by donating to the Las Vegas Victims Fund and sharing how you #StandUpForArt.

With love, encouragement, and creativity always,
The Acceptd Family

Tech Updates

The summer months are a busy time for our development team and come Fall, the Acceptd platform is chock-full of new features and improvements. Here is a highlight of our favorite new additions to help make the management of your accounts even more streamlined.

Resources Tab on Landing Page: We've added a new section to the landing page where you can host media files that you want your applicants to have access to. We can also link directly to these files from the guidelines or in your confirmation message. The resources tab is a great place to put extended guidelines, audition excerpts, or terms & policies.

Tag Filters for Assignments: If you manage a large number of users OR programs, we recommend using tags to keep them organized. Using these tags, you can now filter down by tag when assigning users to a program OR when manually assigning a user to a set of applications. This is helpful in finding the correct programs or users for the assignment.

Multi-Tag Assign and Un-assign: With our new tags assignment experience, you can assign or un-assign multiple tags to a set of applications at the same time.

Acceptd Guide to Halloween Arts Events:

Though horror-themed performances grace American stages year-round, many productions focused on the Halloween season are in full swing! We've compiled a list of chilling and thrilling arts events across the nation that will satiate your thirst for BLOOD-- I mean...Halloween-themed or otherwise spooky Arts events. You'll find vampires, ghosts, slasher tales, thrillers, creatures, zombies, and madmen galore at these top Halloween Arts events near you:

Columbus, OH

Following the film, the full stretch of the Cathedral's Nave is at the disposal of Ralph Lee's Mettawee River Theater Company’s fantastic creatures of the night. Visitors are encouraged to brace themselves for increased ghostly mischief and ghoulish tricks. Seats closest to the action are for the bravest at heart, who may find themselves directly confronted with the hooked nose of a demon, the mossy nails of a witch, or the bulging, flushed cheeks of a ghostly manchild. Learn more here.
  • The Great Jack 'O Lantern Blaze - You might want to wear your sunglasses to this electrifying affair, at which you’ll feast your eyes on an army of gleaming pumpkins. This is the tristate area’s most spirited Halloween happening, with more than 7,000 intricately carved pumpkins glowing (hell, that’s a lot of candles) along the riverside near Van Cortlandt Manor. Tickets sell out fast so snag yours today.
