September 2016 Update

Published September 23rd, 2016

Dear Partners,

It's time for this month's update from Acceptd! The Fall is off to a great start here, and we hope you are enjoying this fun (and busy!) season as well. Read below for some helpful tips from your Account Relations team, to learn more about the most recent tech updates, and for a quick intro to one of our team members.

Top 5 Most Useful Columns

As your Account Relations team, we've put together the list below, outlining 5 very helpful columns that you should consider adding to your submissions table this application season! Not familiar with how to add columns? Read below about the new column selector enhancement introduced this month.

1)  Started Date/Submitted Date

Adding the “Started Date” column is especially helpful for tracking applicants who are still in progress. This column allows you to see when an applicant first started the application so if it has been awhile, send them a quick message reminding them to finish and submit! The “Submitted Date” column is beneficial for many reasons, the main one being that you can sort applicants by their order of submission. This is also a great column to track progress compared to previous years! How many applicants did you have last September? Compare that to those you see in your “Submitted Date” column for September this year!

2)  Program Group/Program

These are default columns in your table, so no need to add them! Though they are automatically there, many of our partners do not realize that you can sort and search on these columns to make your application viewing experience much easier. Use the gear button to sort or group your Program Groups into the order you’d like. You can also use the dropdown boxes above both column to select only a specific Program Group(s) or Program(s) you’d like to see (ex: only Oboists, only Musical Theatre applicants).

3)  Average Rating

If you have multiple rating scales for your applications, you will have an “Average Rating” column available for each scale! Want to know the average rating your Reviewers have entered for “Musicianship” or “Technique”? Add those columns to your table so you can easily sort your applicants in order from highest to lowest! You can also add the “Average Rating: All Scales” column to your table to see the overall average rating pulled from all rating scales.

4)  My Rating Progress

This is one to share with your Reviewers! This column displays the percentage of rating criteria that a user has completed for each application, and it is especially helpful if you require your Reviewers to complete all rating scales. For example: If an application has 4 rating criteria and a Reviewer has only marked a score for 1 of those, the “My Rating Progress” column will display as 25% complete! Adding this column gives Reviewers a quick and easy glance at their progress…their adjudication is complete once they’ve reached 100% for each application!

5)  Any of Your Custom Columns!

Remember: Your application table is completely customizable. All of the data fields in your application are available for you to add as columns in your submissions table! Do you ask for a student’s instrument or voice type in the application? Add that column to your table so you can quickly see and sort through those answers! Do students select their preferred audition date in the application? Use that column to quickly sort and see how those audition dates are shaping up. Adding custom columns can make your life a whole lot easier instead of digging through individual applications one by one!

This Month’s Feature Enhancements

New Column Selector

Now that we have listed out some helpful columns for you to use, we would like to introduce you to our new column selector! We have simplified the selection and reordering process under one total “Columns” button, which is the first button above your submissions table.

columnsOn the lefthand side of the selector, add individual columns to your table one by one by clicking the “+” symbol, or by dragging over an entire category of columns. On the righthand side, reorder your columns by simply dragging and dropping them into the order you would like. You can also remove columns by clicking the “-” symbol. Use the search boxes on the top of both sides of the selector to search for the specific columns you are looking for!selector

Daily Digest Emails

You are now able to update your email notifications to a “Daily Delivery” option! You can select this new option in your Acceptd account under My Account and Update Email Notifications. Daily Delivery allows you to receive one email per day listing out all of the new submissions that have come in for you to review during that day, instead of receiving an email every single time an application is submitted or assigned to you. If you are overwhelmed by the amount of notification emails you receive on a daily basis, this will be a great solution for you!

Please note: You will still receive an email each time an applicant sends you a message through Acceptd, as this can be more time-sensitive.
