The arts are awesome because there are so many opportunities out there. And you, the artist, are awesome because you’re always hungry to find more of them. From colleges and high schools to grants, scholarships, competitions, and festivals, there are a ton of options for you to continue to do what you love. But it can be a little bit daunting to try to find the exact opportunities that fit your needs. Actually, more than a little daunting. Here’s what we mean.
Let’s say you play cello and you want to find a cello program. Doing a simple Google search will yield over 9 million results. Yikes. So you start to scroll and you find: steps for learning a computer code language called Cello, something about a guy and his cello getting kicked off a plane, a couple college degree programs, and a wikipedia entry. And that’s all just on the first page of results (of 9.9 million). Even if there were millions of cello programs out there, you don’t want to scroll through millions of results. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
What if there were a magical place where you could do that same search and find 128 results of actual cello programs you could apply to right now?
We’ve developed a comprehensive arts directory just for you so you can search for exactly what you want and not the other stuff. So you won’t find articles about cellos, or cartoon drawings of cellos, or cellos for sale. You’ll find real cello programs.
Here’s how it works. First, choose your disciplines from Music, Theatre, Dance, and Visual Arts. Select one or all four (get crazy!). Within that, you can filter by organization type ( like festival or university). From there, focus your search by keyword (like cello), application fee, or deadline. Boom! Real results that actually make sense for you. And you can start your application right there.
Our goal is to make it easier for you to find great programs and keep on doing what you love. We don’t want you to have to scroll through millions of results because—let’s be real—most of them aren’t what you’re looking for anyway.
So, get searching, even if you aren’t 100% sure what you’re looking for. We’ve got almost 5,000 different arts programs in there right now and we’re only going to keep growing. You’re bound to find something.
