December 2017 Partner Update

Published December 14th, 2017

Dear Partners,

As we celebrate the holiday season, we would like to thank each and every one of our partners for your continuing support of our mission at Acceptd: to enrich the lives of artists by connecting them with opportunities and communities that mean the most to them. We have had an eventful start to the winter, including a trip to NYC for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a diligent and fun Deadline Day, and some amazing brainstorming sessions for future development opportunities. In this month's blog we cover the ABC's of the Acceptd Critiques table, a word from our marketing team, and a recap of our adventure in the Big Apple!

Best wishes to all of you for good health, happiness and prosperity in the New Year!

With lots of love and holiday cheer,
The Acceptd Team

Tech Update: Adjudication Education - The ABCs of Using the Critiques Table

Application review is in full swing for many of you, and we're here to help you track and organize your faculty's adjudication.

Add and Organize Columns: Your columns are your best friends. Add ratings, recommendations, and comments to see reviews for specific applicants. You can even pull in columns from your submissions table to better combine data.

Better Data and Better Management: Reviewer assignments, individual ratings, and comments are all accessible at-a-glance so you can better manage your adjudication cycle. You can even filter on a specific reviewer to see what applicants they have left to review:

Create Custom Views: Create saved views in order to find what you need in a single click. Our favorite views:

You've got 8 seconds...

Did you know you have only eight seconds to capture the attention of that young artist you're trying to reach? Eight seconds to get them to realize that your program is the right fit for them. Eight seconds to get them to read more, watch a video, submit an interest form, or start an application. What you do with those eight seconds matters!

Here at Acceptd, we understand the value of those eight seconds, but we also understand your arts programs and the audience you're hoping to reach with your marketing and recruitment efforts.

Having built the world's largest network of artists (295,000 artist members with hundreds more joining daily), and having run more than 100 marketing campaigns just this year, we understand the opportunities, channels, and messaging that appeal to and engage this audience. Want to learn how we can partner with you to help your program?

Meet the Newest Member of the Acceptd Marketing Team: Amy Overturf

We are so excited to welcome Amy to the Acceptd fam! Bringing a varied professional background in digital marketing, writing, and higher education, Amy helps clients tell their stories in new ways.

What do you do at Acceptd? I'm the Digital Marketing Coordinator. I help our partners highlight their amazing programs with innovative marketing strategies.

Favorite Weekend Activity - My perfect Saturday would go something like this: a morning hike with my husband and pup, followed by making pancakes and drinking coffee, then maybe a wine tasting with friends in the evening.

Favorite Vacation Spot - Madrid, Spain. (Or anywhere in Spain, really.) I lived there for a year, and I constantly dream of going back to enjoy the vibrant culture, beautiful scenery, and delicious tapas.

Pet - I have a 70 pound lapdog named Willett. He's a lovable rescue mutt who brings so much joy into my life. .

Favorite After Work Activity - I'm the best version of myself when I stay active, so I'd have to say my favorite after-work activity is either a long run or a workout session at my favorite studio here in Columbus, System of Strength.

Favorite Food - Quite simply, I love food. I love Indian food, Mexican food, Spanish food, Mediterranean food, the list goes on. But if I had to pick a single dish, it would be my mom's veggie lasagna.

Instrument or Arts Interests - Spoken word poetry. I love writing poetry and listening to the power of other creative people expressing themselves through this art form.

Adventures in NYC: Acceptd's trip to the Big Apple for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
