November Update: 5 Tips to Boost Your Numbers!

Published November 17th, 2015

Dear Partners,

As applications start to flood in during busy season, don't forget that you hold the power to boost your numbers even higher! Read below for some helpful tips on how to actively engage and recruit artists to discover and apply to your program.

5 Tips to Boost Your Numbers

1) Don't Forget About Your In Progress Applicants

Tired of seeing a large number of applicants still in progress and incomplete? Give them a nudge! Periodically send out a bulk message to all of those in progress applicants reminding them of your deadline and encouraging them to submit. Sometimes all it takes is a little reminder.

2) Use Our Recruitment Network

Recruitment SampleClick on the 'Find Artists' tab in your dashboard to access and recruit the thousands of artists in our system. These artists have specifically opted for their profiles to be discoverable... that means they want to hear from programs like yours! The best recruiters work hard to find their specific
audience of artists before reaching out. Be sure to apply at least 4-5 filters before sending out any recruitment messages (e.g. location, date of birth and graduation date). More filters means a more targeted audience; a more
targeted audience means better results!

3) Remember the 3 C's of Acceptd Messaging

When you're sending messages out through Acceptd, whether to in progress applicants or to artists in the Recruitment Network, make them clear, concise, and custom.

  • Clear: Don't leave your audience questioning! Include as many specific details as possible, such as contact information, deadline dates, and hyperlinks for more information.
  • Concise: Keep it short and sweet. We've found that artists respond best to messages when they don't need to scroll and sift through a lot of wordy content.
  • Custom: Be creative in the way your present your programs! Be personal,  engaging and enthusiastic when choosing how to word your messages, and really make your program shine.

4) Make it a Routine

Boosting your numbers, like most marketing/recruitment efforts won't happen with a simple "one-and-done" strategy. Log into your Acceptd account more often and make recruitment and engagement a part of your routine. New artists are added to our system daily, so don't forget about them! Sending out messages on a monthly basis will help you reach those new artists, remind others that you've already contacted, and help keep your program top of mind.

5) Take Advantage of Acceptd's Marketing Solutions

Speaking of not being one-and-done, consider adding some targeted marketing solutions to watch those application numbers soar! Take Performing Arts Abroad for example. They used Acceptd to send out a spotlight email to their targeted audience, and within just a few days nearly 100 new applications were started to their program! We can build a custom campaign based on your needs and deadlines, so be sure to contact us to learn more.
